Royal Engagement Conspiracy Theories!
You've got to hand it to the general public - they can weave a conspiracy theory out of even the happiest news. By now, the world and its dog are aware that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are engaged and we all have a royal wedding to look forward to - or ignore, depending on how you feel about the Royal family.
Amidst all the jubilation and speculation, however, a rather interesting conspiracy theory has emerged about what might have motivated Harry to pop the question...CONTINUE READING

Alien Visitations Covered Up!
Aliens visited our planet and offered an apocalyptic warning for mankind but their visit was covered up, a former defense minister has claimed. The ex-politician claims to have evidence four species of aliens have been visiting Earth for decades.
Paul Hellyer, Canadian Minister of National Defence in the 1960s, argues that top governments have long been in cahoots with extraterrestrial beings. He said: “Decades ago, visitors from other planets warned us about the direction we were heading and offered to help. “Instead, some of us interpreted their visits as a threat, and decided to shoot first and ask questions after.” He also claimed that trillions of dollars have been spent on so-called “black projects” to...CONTINUE READING

Attempted Murder Survivors Share Their Horrific Stories!
Every year tens of thousands of deaths are claimed by homicide. Only a few people are lucky to survive the attempt on their lives. These are the stories of such survivors as found on R/AskReddit.
Survivors of work-related stabbings
I was stabbed while bouncing (working as security) at a bar. I’m not sure if that counts. I doubt the guy was really trying to kill me, though he very easily could have. It required emergency surgery to close up an artery and the knife stopped just shy of puncturing my lung. My friend, also bouncing, was stabbed over his heart, but his sternum stopped the blade. That’s probably what caused the stabber to slice his own fingers open, which lead to finding him and the conviction. He was charged with attempted murder, along with a bunch of other things. He was convicted of at least some of those charges and did 6 years. All in all, not bad. 10/10, would get stabbed again. – caducus
Boyfriend can’t take no for an answer
I can contribute something! When I was 17, I had a 22 y/o boyfriend who I dated near the time I finished my secondary school education. He was genuinely amazing and I thought he was perfect as every naive young girl does, my friends warned me saying he was manipulative and abusive but I brushed it off assuming they were jealous. But I started noticing things, and I wouldn’t give him his way, we started fighting more and more. One night we were relaxing and watching my favourite movie in my room (Robots I think it was called), anyway my boyfriend starts trying to pressure me into giving him oral. I tried pulling away but he was holding my head down into his lap, that’s when I started shouting and screaming. He grabbed my neck and threw me to the floor and began kicking me, at this point, I was completely dazed and in shock so I couldn’t defend myself. After what seemed like ages I finally screamed stop, he grabbed my hair and dragged me to...CONTINUE READING

Dalhousie Mountain Carvings Mystery!
On top of a hill in Dalhousie, colloquially known as Dalhousie Mountain, there are numerous names carved into rocks. Most are weathered and worn from the elements, but names such as "J.D. Howe" and the date "SPT 1880" can still be seen. However, there is a mystery.
What exactly are these names doing on the top of that mountain? Bill Clarke, the director of the Restigouche Regional Museum, said there's no concrete explanation as to who carved the names or why. Clarke also said not a lot of research has been done to find out. "We haven't really done a lot of research on them largely because there's so much else to do."
While someone must have known about the existence of the name carvings, their modern-day discovery took place sometime in the late 1980s or early 1990s. A crew was working on the mountain, cutting what would become the New Brunswick trail. Gary Archibald, one of the men working on the crew, said the names were found...CONTINUE READING

Skepticism Surrounds Head Transplant Success!
In February 2015, Sergio Canavero appeared in this very publication claiming a live human head will be successfully transplanted onto a donor human body within two years. He’s popped up in the media a lot since then, but two years and nine months later, how are things looking?
Well, he’s only gone and done it! As we can see in this Telegraph story from today, the world’s first human head transplant has been successfully carried out. Guess all those more timid neurobods who said it couldn’t be done (myself included) are feeling pretty foolish right now, eh?
Well, not quite. Because if you look past the triumphant and shocking headlines, the truth of the matter becomes very clear, very quickly. In the interest of full disclosure, I do not know Dr Sergio Canavero, he’s done nothing to me directly that I’m aware of. However, I’m now seriously doubting his motivations. I’ve discussed my reasons for this elsewhere before now, but here they are again in one place for ease of reading...CONTINUE READING

Buddha's Cremated Remains Found!
The cremated remains of what an inscription says is the Buddha, also called Siddhārtha Gautama, have been discovered in a box in Jingchuan County, China, along with more than 260 Buddhist statues.
The translated inscription on the box reads: "The monks Yunjiang and Zhiming of the Lotus School, who belonged to the Mañjuśrī Temple of the Longxing Monastery in Jingzhou Prefecture, gathered more than 2,000 pieces of śarīra [cremated remains of the Buddha], as well as the Buddha's teeth and bones, and buried them in the Mañjuśrī Hall of this temple," on June 22, 1013. At the site where the statues and Buddha remains were buried, archaeologists also found the remains of a structure that could be from the Mañjuśrī Hall. [See Photos of the Buddhist Statues and Cremated Remains of Buddha]
Yunjiang and Zhiming spent more than 20 years gathering the remains of the Buddha, who is also sometimes referred to as Gautama Buddha, the inscription notes. "In order to promote Buddhism, they wanted to collect śarīra [Buddhist relics]. To reach this goal, both of them practiced the instruction of Buddhism during every moment of their lives for more than 20 years," the inscription says. "Sometimes they received the śarīra from others' donations; sometimes they found them by chance; sometimes they bought them from other places; and sometimes others gave them the śarīra to demonstrate their wholeheartedness."
The inscription does not mention the 260 Buddhist statues that were found buried near the remains of the Buddha. The archaeologists aren't sure whether or not the statues were buried at the same time as the cremated remains, wrote the team of archaeologists, who were led by Hong Wu, a research fellow at the Gansu Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, in two articles published recently in the journal Chinese Cultural Relics.
The archaeologists did not speculate on whether any of the remains are actually from the Buddha who died around 2,500 years ago. Previous archaeological discoveries in China have also revealed human remains with inscriptions that claim that they belong to the Buddha the archaeologists noted. These include a skull bone, supposedly from the Buddha, found inside a gold chest in Nanjing.

Bizarre Martian-Like Lake Found in Canada!
A bizarre 'Martian' lake - that is said to have healing properties - could contain the same tiny life forms that exist on the Red Planet. The Spotted Lake in British Columbia, Canada, features hundreds of different coloured pools, each said to have different medical benefits, according to legend. For example, one pool might help with someone suffering with warts, while another pool would be more helpful for body aches and joint pain. But perhaps more impressively, the lake contains the highest concentration of sulphates seen anywhere on the planet.
In fact, experts over at The Science Channel, who have studied the lake say that it's like a huge "chunk of Mars has somehow broken off and traveled 33 million miles." It means that the 'Martian-type lake' could contain 'Martian-type life'
Experts said: "Analysis of water from Spotted Lake reveals that organisms are indeed living in the pools. "It's like Mars has come to Earth, and in these weird holes are clues to life on the Red Planet." Biochemist Rollie Williams added: "It's possible that some kind of life like that might be existing on Mars, which would be an insane discovery."
The lake is unique in that it has no outflow. There are no streams running in or out of the water. Collections of saline and brine have pooled together in different quantities throughout the lake, leaving the phenomenon of the strange circles that can be clearly seen from an aerial view. One such pool contains Epsom salts, said to be effective for curing rheumatism and arthritis.

Ouija Board Horror Stories!
Some believe Ouija boards are fabricated nonsense, but others think they are possessed by demonic spirits. The board game has a dark history, but not everyone believes in its supernatural powers.
Also known as spirit or talking boards, an Ouija board is a flat board marked with the letters of the alphabet, numbers 0-9, as well as the words "yes", "no" and "goodbye". The board is operated using a small, heart-shaped piece of wood or plastic called a planchette. Users put their fingers on the planchette, and it is thought that spirits move it around the board to spell out words. The word Ouija, pronounced 'wee-jee', is an ancient Egyptian word meaning "good luck" - as well as a combination of the French and German words for 'yes'. Some have warned against the use of ouija words, claiming they can lead to "demonic possession".
Ouija boards have their roots in 19th century America and the spiritualist movement. The movement was led by mediums, who claimed to be intermediaries between the living and the dead. Talking boards were soon established and, in 1891, businessman Elijah Bond decided to turn the board into a toy - which initially sold for around 75p. Hasbro now owns the patents to Ouija boards. There are three schools of thought when it comes to Ouija boards...CONTINUE READING

Has Nibiru Been Found?!
Astronomers have found an enormous new planet with 13.4 times the mass of Jupiter, circling a star in the "bulge" of the Milky Way, a tightly packed group of stars within the galaxy. Planet X is the name given to any new planet that has yet to be officially named. But it is also one of the names given to the mythical Nibiru system, which some conspiracy theorists believe will soon pass the Earth, causing a global apocalypse.
News of the discovery of the new planet, currently called OGLE-2016-BLG-1190Lb, has fired up believers of the Nibiru theory, that it could be proof of the fabled system. The Nibiru or Planet X theory claims a mini solar system consisting of a sun, planets and moons is lurking on the edge of our solar system with a huge 3,600 miles orbit of the sun. Nibiru believers are convinced the "rogue system" is making its way from the outer solar system inwards, where it will wreak havoc on Earth as it passes at about four million miles away. They say the planet will cause the poles to switch, sparking great earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. Believers now claim it will be on an approach path with the Earth between November 20 and December 20.
One user of conspiracy theory website Godlikeproductions.com, based in Australia, believes OGLE-2016-BLG-1190Lb could be proof of Nibiru. The user with the handle Daniel (D Alien) started a forum on the site entitled "Has Nibiru Been Hiding in the Heart of Our Galaxy All Along?," after learning of the news.
One person with the user name Anonymous replied: "Looks like no one really knows what is out there." However, others rounded on the forum creator for starting it. A third with the user name Anonymous Coward posted: "Please apply your mind. "Nibiru is an ordinary planet that will never orbit near here again and it hasn't been hiding anywhere."
Details of the new planet were published in a paper published on arXiv.org. It was found via microlensing, a technique for detecting alien worlds which does not require the light from its host star. And the technique is used to find planets in the inner galactic disk and bulge, where it can be hard to look for planets using other methods. Planet OGLE-2016-BLG-1190Lb was found by the Optical Gravitational Lensing Experiment (OGLE) collaboration, a Polish astronomical project based at the University of Warsaw, using the 1.3 metre Warsaw telescope mounted at the Las Campanas observatory in Chile.
An international team of researchers led by Yoon-Hyun Ryu of the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute in Daejon, South Korea, also looked at the findings. The team said in the paper: "We report the discovery of OGLE-2016-BLG-1190Lb, which is likely to be the first Spitzer microlensing planet in the galactic bulge/bar, an assignation that can be confirmed by two epochs of high-resolution imaging of the combined source-lens baseline object." It is so big the team is not sure if it is actually a failed brown dwarf star instead of a giant planet. However, it orbits its parent star approximately every three years, 22,000 light years from Earth.
It is not the first new planet Nibiru believers have pounced upon. Earlier this year US space agency Nasa announced the discovery of a hypothetical Planet 9 at the edge of our solar system. The planet is believed to be 10 times bigger than Earth and 20 times farther out from the sun than Neptune – the outermost planet in the solar system. However, Nasa said it was not Nibiru, which "does not exist." In a statement, Nasa said: "If a planet is there, it's extremely distant and will stay that way, with no chance – in case you're wondering – of ever colliding with Earth, or bringing ‘days of darkness’.”
The Nibiru myth emerged in 1976, when writer Zecharia Sitchin claimed two ancient Middle Eastern cultures, the Babylonians and Sumerians, told of a giant planet dubbed Nibiru which orbited the Sun. Nasa insists the conspiracy theorists are completely wrong, and the Nibiru myth is an internet hoax.

10 Mountains Connected to Extraterrestrial Activity!
UFO sightings can happen anywhere. Over land, over water, at night or day, in the open countryside where the populations are sparse, or over cities with buildings that reach ever more upward to the cosmic heavens—any of these places can become the stage for an encounter with the unexplained.
However, and perhaps for good reason, if you subscribe to the theories of alien bases hiding within them, many mountains and their cave systems seem to be magnets for such activity. Here are ten examples of mountains and caves from around the world that have long histories of UFO and extraterrestrial activity...CONTINUE READING

Ghost Hunter Witnessed Ghosts Having Sex!
A ghost hunter claims he's had more than 100 supernatural encounters - including seeing two spirits having sex in a museum's toilets.Stephen Briggs, 38, also says he's been assaulted by a ghost and seen the apparition of Victorian policeman patrolling his local streets. Luckily, the paranormal enthusiast has been keeping a log of his spooky run-ins since the 1980s, and he's now set to describe each one in great detail.
Stephen, from Horncastle, Lincs, was a toddler when he first saw a ghost. He said: “I have had so many I don’t where to start. Some are the most bizarre and amusing, but ghosts aren’t always scary. “The first one I can remember was when I was sat on my mum’s knee waiting for my dad. There was a gentleman in a coat and he just disappeared...CONTINUE READING

Trump Possibly Related to Infamous 'Werewolf' Cannibal Serial Killer!
Donald Trump may be related to a 16th-century cannibal serial killer, according to new research. Academics investigating the infamous tale of Peter Stubbe, known as the Werewolf of Bedburg, turned up shock evidence that could point towards the US President's known German ancestry.
Stubbe was a farmer convicted of murdering at least 13 children and two pregnant women before devouring parts of their corpses. He was also said to have mutilated cattle, had incestuous relationships with his daughter and sister and murdered his own young son before eating his brain. Stubbe was executed in 1589 and the legend has fascinated scholars for centuries.

Stardust Ranch Owner Claims Attempted Alien Abduction!
The Stardust Ranch in Rainbow Valley has been featured on a number of television shows for its alien activity. And now John Edmonds and his wife Joyce say they’re fed up with the “strange events” in their Arizona home. John claims he has slain 19 aliens with samurai swords and says the extra-terrestrials tried to abduct his wife.
He said: “They actually levitated her out of the bed in the master chamber and carried her into the parking lot and tried to draw her up into the craft.” The couple bought the 3,500sq ft property in 1995 with the hopes of leading a peaceful life. But John added: “Almost immediately from the day we moved in, we began to have strange experiences. “Wounds from recent attack here at Stardust Ranch upper right calf from battle with malevolent ET.”
On his Facebook page, John regularly updates his pals of day-to-day experiences of living on the “Alien Ranch”. One image shows dried blood and a katana, which he described the method of destroying the aliens. He wrote: “Unless you cut the head off and disconnect the antennae, so to speak, they instantly ‘phone home’. Even with a razor-shape sword, it is nearly impossible to decapitate them with one swing.”
Kimberly Gero, the listing agent for West US Realty, said a property with this kind of history attached to it takes a “little creativity” and requires a different strategy than a “traditional property” wold. She said: “There are thousands of people, both nationally and internationally, who follow the owner online and have strong beliefs about aliens and the paranormal. “Reaching these people online to generate a buzz about the property has been my number one marketing strategy. “This isn’t the type of property that you can just place in the MLS and wait for a buyer to come along.” The Ranch has four baths, a pool, lots of acreages, a gated entry for privacy and is an hour west of Phoenix.
