Eric Trump thinks he’s being targeted by the so-called deep state, including former President Obama and Ellen Degeneres. The president’s son shared a screenshot on Tuesday of Twitter’s suggestions for users he should follow, including Obama, DeGeneres and Hillary Clinton.
“Shocking,” Trump tweeted. “Once again, here are the Twitter ’suggestions’ of who I should follow. #DeepState.” The “deep state” conspiracy theory, which is often pushed by the president and his followers, refers to an alleged civil-service group that works in the shadows to delegitimize the Trump administration.
