An extremely rare total solar eclipse this month is a sign a fabled “giant hidden planet” will collide with Earth, a doomsayer has predicted. The Moon will cover the Sun on August 21 – causing a sudden drop in temperature and plunging the Earth into darkness. More than half the planet – including 12 US states – will witness the once-in-a-lifetime event – dubbed the Great American Total Solar Eclipse.
A number of Christian fanatics have claimed the eclipse will herald the end of the world – and may be one of the prophesied 10 Biblical plagues.
