Missouri farmer Jared Blackwelder and his wife, Misty, were devastated to discover 32 of their dairy cows had been obliterated after a terrifying storm on April 29. They believe their farm in Missouri, US, had been hit by a devastating lightning strike that wiped out the entire herd. The cows that perished were all certified organic, costing around $2,500 (£1,925) each. "It's not like they are pets. But the ones I'm milking, I've raised every one of them," Blackwelder told local reporters at the time.
