Haunted Forests in America!

California - Altadena

The Angeles National Forest in Altadena may be the most haunted forest in the state. Many visitors have gone missing at this location over the years. Apparitions witnessed are thought to be the spirits of those missing people. Paranormal disembodied screams are often reported. Some night visitors have reported flashlight bulbs suddenly bursting when an apparition appears.

Massachusettes - Freetown

Legends, folklore and the paranormal have plagued the Freetown-Fall River State Forest for decades. It has been the site of bizarre crimes, murders, Satanic rituals, UFOs, apparitions, orbs of light, and even humanoid creatures!

Illinois - Norridge

The Robinson Woods is home to a variety of paranormal activity. Witnesses to strange events and sounds range from kids to police officers. Phantom sounds of tom-toms and unexplained lights are among the paranormal reports.

Indiana - Martinsville

The creepy paranormal stories about the Morgan-Monroe State Forest range from unexplained deaths, Satanic rituals, disembodied voices, an apparition of a woman in black to even Bigfoot.

North Carolina - Bear Creek

This area of the forest in North Carolina is called The Devil's Tramping Ground. The name is said to have originated from locals who believe the Devil himself is present every night. Within this large circular area, it seems nothing will grow. It's said that if you place items in the circle, you will find them moved in the morning. Paranormal witnesses also report animals whimpering and refusing to go near the circle and seeing the apparition of a dark shadow with horns!
